Well this wasn't what I had in mind!

Feb 12, 2025

The last few weeks haven't been easy with my Grandfathers funeral and now my entire area is cut off with some of the worst flooding we've had in years.

This is one of the main roads coming into Cairns and it's only one of the many that has been cut off. So we are running pretty slim on getting food and essentials here right now. We're ok for now and thankfully we Aussies are always helping each other out. Our emergency services are doing everything they can to get access to everyone and some bridges have had temporary connections made so some essential trucks and services can come through. You can read more about what's happening here - ABC News

Thankfully I still have electricity and the internet so I will keep working on the Corsetry Class and get as much done as I possibly can. It's been difficult to do fittings and videos for Corset 2 because she lives almost 2 hours away and there's a lot of road works in between us right now. So I promise to get as much done at one time for her corsets and prioritise finishing up corsets 1 and 3 for now.

We are now about 6 weeks away from the big move down to Brisbane! We are applying for rentals everyday and slowly getting the house packed up and ready for the movers. This is the biggest move I've done in a very long time so we're all pretty stressed.

But I did get some really good news on Monday! My application for uni has been accepted and they said it looks competitive for an offer! Yay! I will know once the offers are sent out early June. Every day we have more and more plans finally falling into place.

So for now we will hope for better weather, lots of great corsets coming out of the corset class and a smooth move down to Brisbane.

Andi xoxo
